Christmas Decorations

I love Christmas, it is my ultimate favorite holiday.  I love the cold weather, all the pretty lights, the Christmas music and movies, having a fire going in the fire place, and the baking.  I love just being around friends and family hanging out and playing games.  I love most of all that we celebrate the birth of my Savior and that if it weren't for him I would have no hope.  He is my greatest joy.  My second greatest joy this time of year is putting up all my Christmas decorations.  I have been collecting my decorations little by little over the last several years.  If I had it my way on Nov. 1st I would have all my decorations up but my husband won't pull it all down until the day after Thanksgiving.  I would do it myself but I would probably fall out of the attic and kill myself.  lol  Tradition in our house is that on Black Friday I get up early and go shopping all morning.  Then when I come home my tree is sitting there just waiting to be decorated.  I usually spend the rest of the day decorating my tree and putting up all the other decorations around the house while Chuck puts up the lights on the house.  My husband surprised me with a blow up snowman for the front yard last year and I was soooo excited.  I have always wanted one even though the majority of my friends and family think it's white trash.  Honestly I don't care I love it.  Of course I think it would be even more cool on my roof for all of the people driving down Danforth to see but Chuck refuses.  He has yet to put it in my yard this year.  He keeps using the excuses it's too early or it's not cold enough.  I think he is just embarrassed by it but I love it and will win eventually.

I turned my tree into a snow tree this year.  I took two pictures it just doesn't do justice to the real thing.  Come by and I will show you.

It's hard to see all the snow on the tree in this picture but it's there and lots of it.

This is Katelyn's poor pathetic tree. She tried to help mommy and I said here decorate your tree.  Well this is what you get when a 2 yr. old decorates.

Katelyn cracked me up, she drug her Christmas tree across the house and put it right next to mine.  I tried to talk her into putting it in her room or somewhere far from mine but she thinks it belongs right next to mine.  Yes, it is still there.

These are our stockings.  The princess thought she needed to be different and have a pink stocking.  It doesn't match my theme but I couldn't say no to her.

These are cute you pop off the hats and you can put candles in them.

These snow men bounce the kids love to play with them.  Who knew snowmen could dance.

My sister bought me this last weekend.  So cute I love it.  Thanks Sis.

My little sis also bought me this about a month ago.  Brings me joy when I'm cooking and look down to see a little snowman.

Half of my village

The other half of my village.  My mother in-law bought me this for Christmas several years ago.  It has a manger with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph you just can't see it in the picture.  Oh and all the little building light up.
